  • Rafting in Manso River

Adventure and adrenaline in an excursion visiting the Patagonian Andean Range.

Lower Manso River

We head to Steffen Lake, driving through Gutierrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo lakes. Once in Steffen lake we are ready to start our descent to the Manso River.

Surrounded by high mountains and a deep vegetation, our raft is driven by the current while we admire the wide variety of flora of this National Park, as well as birds and the crystal-clear water allow us to see different varieties of trout.

The river becomes more exciting, Uvasal, Banda de Bilar, Diente de Hipopotamo, Montaña Rusa and Roca Magnetica are some of the rapids we will navigate.

This is a full day trip.

The Manso River to the Border

A full day trip in the heart of the Andes, visiting ‘Estancia de John’ – limit between Argentina and Chile.

Bordering the Manso River we arrive at ‘Estancia de John’, where we will be ready to set sail in the last stretch of this river in the Argentinean territory.

We will go through exciting rapids through narrow canyons covered by deep local vegetation, Cajon de Terciopelo, Agujero de Ozono, Grita y dobla a la izquierda, el Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Extasis, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo and International.

The border landmark with Chile shows our destination. We set off on our return to ‘Estancia de John’ through an old farmer’s path, where we will border streams and cross gullies
